Engineering and Polymer Research

Knowledge is central to everything we do in the College of Engineering and Polymer Science. The creation of knowledge (research) and the dissemination of knowledge (education) are our core missions within the College, and these are seamlessly integrated in our mission to serve our constituents (students, industry, the state, the nation and the global community).

We have recently redefined our research focus areas to solve global challenges as well as address national and regional priorities. Most projects engage faculty and students in multidisciplinary teams that cross departmental, college and university lines. Many of these research projects are supported by agencies such as NSF, NIH, NASA, DOE, DoD, the State of Ohio, private foundations, and many industrial partners such as Timken, GE Aviation, Parker Hannifin, Swagelok, Schaeffler, Goodyear, Bridgestone/Firestone and others.
